If you’d like a private getaway, the Castel Plage offers its own private deck and restaurant. The Plage Beau Riage is another popular spot. It’s a great place to go and people watch while you relax under the shade of one of the many provided umbrellas and enjoy the surrounding art deco signage. Blue Beach is the only Nice, Beach open all year round and it is the most popular for those with an active lifestyle. Para-sailing and surfing are available here.

That said, there is one spa in particular that really stands out on most tourists’ “must visit” lists. The La Bulle offers an amazing list of 80+ different spa treatments and each of them are extravagant. Want a sample? One of their treatments is referred to as “choco-cooning”. Guests are invited to strip down to nearly nothing and then are allowed to roll around in creamy, melted chocolate. A masseuse will then come in and rub you down after you are covered. It’s said that the chocolate contains nutrients that are great for your skin. If that’s a little over the top for you, the Hi Hotel features a great view of the Riviera from within its massage room. It features a Turkish style spa that will keep you warm and cozy for as long as you care to stay.
